i've decided to broaden my horizons and so i am teaching myself to enjoy eating a grapefruit.
i did this with tea, which i hated as a child. and peppers, which i now love love love. and yogurt, which is now a staple in my fridge. and cottage cheese. and other things. it's mind over matter.
then there's coffee. that's a whole different story. it smells de-lish, but if only it tasted the way it smells....

First you do a Community post and now a growing up post. I have so much to live up to. mind over matter huh? Think I can find a way to eat raw tomatoes without throwing up? mind over matter. mind over matter.....
Personally, I've decided growing up is over rated... Hence the idea of four kids in our family come a few more months... (Two more will help keep us extra young, right???)
As for coffee- once we come back from Ethiopia- the land where coffee originated and have had some coffee ceremonies, we will have to teach you about the perfect cup!

Didn't coffee originate in Seattle?
Grapefruits are best when they come from Texas. Florida ones are pretty good too, but Texas makes the best, juiciest yummiest grapefruits! I put just a little brown sugar on mine. Yum.
It's so great to choose to try things you never thought worth it. ...but, coffee... I say just enjoy the smell. I love the smell of it, but have chosen not to acquire a taste for it... I think it's cheaper and probably better for me in the long run. I'll just enjoy sniffing the coffee around me.
