i am a list person. i love to make lists and i love to cross things off of lists. if i have a "to do today" list and do something that's not on the list, i add it to the list, just for the satisfaction of crossing it off of the list.
as i think about what to pack for our camping trip this week, i have to thank my past self. and also my mom, who passed on the idea. i have a camping list, saved on the computer, which i go to every summer before a trip, print it out and scribble all over it. we don't always bring everything on the list, but we rarely forget anything. it has evolved over time considerably and i've shared it with numerous people. today i've decided to share it with you. copy and paste it and save it for your next trip if you like. you'll probably have to change a bunch of it to suit your family. but here it is. do with it what you will.

That's a great list. Man, I wish I could take that much with me camping!! I should actually post my own list on my blog to help my packing, and you'll see how... um... minimalistic? motorcycle camping is.
Electric flyswatter?!
Haha! Yup. It looks like a badminton racket, but the mesh part is electrified when you press a button. Great for killing the elusive mosquitoes in your tent at night. Available at your local dollar store.
we went to Mt. Rainer last summer and forgot the main down blanket (gets super cold there at night). That was a loooong night. I need to ad nightlight to that list for Jake and Liv. Needless to say I haven't gone camping since. Although I would love to soon. R and L are here still and we had a great weekend at Dan's parent's cabin. Just updated my blog- many many more posts to come to finish updating my time with Ramona.
