Christmas in B.C.

Christmas at our house fell on December 22. R and I celebrated the 3rd Christmas in our home that morning. In the evening we headed out to Steinbach and had our Thiessen Christmas.
The next morning we flew out to B.C. and I experienced the most smooth flight ever with the funniest steward (did I mention we flew westjet?). We spent our full 1.5 weeks off from school/work in Vancouver and we had a blast!

These cuties, E. & S., (left to right - I think!) are now 2 1/2 years old and are so entertaining. We love them to bits!

Isn't she precious?!

Ya, that's right. we've got the cutest nieces in the world.

Our trip was full of adventure, like going to the aquarium, the park, playing with play-doh, the day that Shawn dominated the European railway system, the daily recitals of Silent Night (or should I say "Si-la-nee night, ho-li-nee night") and Away in a Manger and Bells are Ringing, etc., and the usually entertaining adventures of toddlers at mealtimes - and all the time for that matter! Man, we've got the greatest nieces. Especially when they're dressed as bellabeenas. what's that? oh sorry, you said "ballerina", my mistake!

We spent a few relaxing days up at the cabin. It was beautiful and felt (to me!) like a nice mid-October weekend. We had a great time playing Black Mama and a good ol' 4-hour game of Phase 10. The 10-hour drive home, which i think normally takes about 4.5 hours, was an adventure in itself, after hitting the world's largest pothole and flattening a tire, just after the sun had set on our foggy mountain road.

We got to hang out with Genifer and Bowen on Christmas Day, since they're out in Victoria now. That was pretty cool.

This is the family, on Christmas Eve. (Doesn't R look good in his new shirt? well, i think so)

So, that was our great trip. and now we're back. at school. doing homework. sitting through 5 hours of class in a row (that's my thursday mornings). blah blah blah.
no, it's actually going pretty good. maybe i'll tell you about it sometime...
