significance: i had never seen ryan's naked chin before
in other news, i passed my skills lab demo. we get 2 tries and it's pass or fail, so it's quite a relief to get that over with after only one attempt. i had to give jake (one of our dummies) an IV medication and change his abdominal incision dressing and clean the ol' penrose drain. it was nerve-racking as the instructor was watching us with a clipboard in hand, subtly trying to correct us ("is that a good place to put those forceps?") and then letting it go if we could catch on to those subtleties and fix our mistakes. oh hey, since i'm already at the computer and not studying the GI system for my final exam on saturday, why don't i find some pics of our lab for ya. here we go.....

Oh Jake! One time I was putting an enema into Jake and had lubricated the tip a little over-zealously. Turns out they use soap as lubricant in the lab and bubbles started to come out of his bum. It was hilarious!
Congratulations on passing on your first attempt! When I took the exam we marked each other. I wished we would have had the instructors marking because they aren't as strict as the students. And students that failed who are marking others are really really strict. I had the penrose drain and IV med on my second attempt at the exam.
That is the most stressful test in nursing and you are done!!!!!!!!! Did you celebrate?

I like that you went on a date because Ryan shaved. I remember the first time I saw Trev's naked chin. I was shocked as he looked so young. I totally prefer him with facial hair.
I have never seen Dan with out any facial hair, except in pics when he was a little kid. Hmmmmm... I wonder what my husband REEEALLY looks like. That chicken Little is sure a cutie!!! Good scrapbooking!! I will try to post my latest book pages on scrappin'K today.... we'll see....
