we worked yesterday for 10.5 hours. it went well.... i can't believe how much energy i had throughout the day. i guess i was expecting a hard day, so i was ready for it.... i don't know. but then last night we went over to some friends place. i felt so bad, but suddenly my tiredness hit me like a brick. i was so anti-social, it was weird but i totally did not want to be there anymore. the only place i wanted to be was in bed. or maybe a hot tub. a hot tub on a tropical beach with relaxing music playing and maybe a cold lemonade or something. and with R there. and maybe an endless supply of chocolate.
hmmmmm, i guess they don't really have hot tubs on tropical beaches.
well, anyways, we're going to work tomorrow at 7am to finish up the stores. yea. it's saturday. well, that's okay since i've actually been in and out of consciousness with earplugs jammed into my ears since 3 am and now i'm up and will not be able to go back to sleep. why, you ask? check out my last blog.
but there's nothing like the rush and the heart palpitations that you get from sitting on your hands and knees, repeatedly pounding your fist on the floor, say, a dozen times. and when that doesn't get the desired response, jumping on the floor over and over, with my heels digging into the old wooden floorboards. and their response to that is "man, they're gonna knock this building down." hmmm.

OK, I think I will finally try and fulfill my duties of being "it", after all, I was tagged a week or so ago.
1. the gleeful welcome I get from my daughters when I come home after a long day of school/work.
2. rain falling on the car roof (or a camping trailer - not so much a tent).
3. fresh bread/buns.
4. a heavy, warm duvet when the house is cool.
5. my wife's smile.
6. my wife getting my youngest daughter to quiet down during the night.
7. a clean sink.
8. seeing a Basset Hound walk by.
9. the tasteful use of the violin in rock and roll.
10. numbers.
