yesterday i was motivated to clean up my baking cupboard, which included a growing stack of irregular shaped papers with recipes that had been ripped from magazines, peeled off of a can of pork & beans or printed off the internet, but hadn't found their way into my recipe box. i had had enough of the mess. after i cleaned out my shelves and purged a few old items, i sat down and put those recipes onto cards, i realized yet again how ugly my recipe box is. it's the perfect size and it's really sturdy. but it's hideous. i don't know where i got the thing, but i've been wanting to recover it since i first laid eyes on it. so i did.
before...
and after.

I have so many recipes stranded on little papers all over. It's one of those goals I want to accomplish one day...or organize it all and write them all down in one spot.
Does the food taste better if the recipes are stored in such a great lookin' box????

Love the new box! I also can't wait to do crafts with my kiddo. For Christmas I got the book 'A Handmade Home'. It's very fun and lot's of idea's to incorperate kids help with projects. I think the lady who wrote it wrote another book called 'The Creative Family'. Very fun I bet you'd like it.
