o christmas tree o christmas tree

on thursday, we had a 12-hour shift at the hospital. it actually went really well, and didn't even feel like 12 hours. see, this was to make up for being able to have friday off.
ya, so friday i had off and it was wonderful. i cleaned the house and did a bunch of homework and then put up all our christmas decorations! R was feeling really crappy, so he didn't go to his practicum either, so we had the day off together! the rest of the weekend was great.... we hung out with some great friends till 2 am (i don't know when the last time was that i was out that late), spent time with family, got our little christmas tree up.... i live for the weekends. it's not that i don't do school work on the weekends because i do a ton, but at least its not new material that i'm just getting more behind on. ah yes, good times.
i realized that it does sound like i don't have friends at school... no it's just in my stupid little case-study group. i once told R (or probably more than once) last year that i can't wait till i make 'nursing friends'. if you know people in nursing, they probably have 'nursing friends', who share this weird kind of bond. if you have a mother who is a nurse, she probably still has nursing school friends. anyways, this year has been really great for that, i've met some really great girls.... well i should go and study. i've got test in my boring night class tonight...


oh and one last thing, my most favoritist cousin had her baby!! congratulations guys!
