spring is here....?

on my beautiful walk home today, i was listening to david crowder on my discman (yes, i'm so old-fashioned, i listen to a discman), and the warm sun was smiling down on my face, and i was walking through green grass and dead leaves and mud puddles and around remnants of snow in the shadowy places, i could for a moment pretend that it was spring (and forget that -40 is just around the corner).
and as i walked and sang, i passed an extraordinarily large amount of feathers from the canada geese that have long since moved south (since they have not forgotten that -40 is just around the corner). this reminded me of a time not too long ago when i was walking to school and came across an extraordinarily large amount of feathers. and i kept walking. and there were more feathers. and then a lump covered in feathers, which i presumed to be a chunk of goose flesh. and then more feathers. and then a leg. yes, the whole, ugly, black, scaly-looking leg of a canada goose. what a fight that would have been to watch, between that fiesty goose and the dog or fox or whatever it was that wanted it for dinner. ha.... wish i was there....

Hey Jules!!
Yup, it's me...your long-lost friend those distant Bible School days. How are you these days, little buddy? I read your blog all the time - along with others - and so I decided to get my butt in gear and get back into the blogging world. I'd love to blog back and forth with you and keep in touch. Anyway, just letting you know, so check out my blog again sometime.... Also, just wondering what you email address is. I have some blogging questions about how to do stuff and thought I'd see if you could give me a hand... Hit me back, kay? (machinegirl3@yahoo.com)Thanks so much, Kiddo. Looking forward to keeping in touch again.
Love, Cyn
