you know that feeling you get what you're forced to be with people that you don't know very well and you know that you're never going to become great friends with them, and you may not even know any of their names, but you're made to work together briefly on occasion, but when you try to make a joke, it just flops and everyone just stares at you?

on occasion in class we get into groups and go over case studies. well, we didn't get to choose our groups and i just hate when we have to do this thing. like today. i feel like whenever i try to speak up and suggest answers to the questions, they all just look at me, pause, and then someone else will say, 'well, i think that it's because of his hypertension...." blah blah blah. and then the 'secretary' will write down her answer. what about mine? am i speaking gibberish and you can't understand me and you're too embarrassed for me to tell me so??
a few classes ago, we got together in these stupid groups and discussed hepatitis. well now, hep A is passed on through the fecal-oral route [yes, that means 'poop' and 'mouth'], and one of the questions was about special considerations for the nurse or something. well, i suggested, "Be careful when handling feces." when i realized how funny that sounds, i added, "because you know, normally, we're not careful.... you know.... tossing it around... you know... smearing it everywhere......" i was kinda waiting for someone to pick up on it and carry it further.. but no. it just hung there in the air like the smell of sour milk. everyone just staring at me.

*blink blink*

okay! and then finally someone gave another suggestion and everything carried on as if julia didn't exist. ah! wow. i thought it was funny. whatever.

Jules- I think you are funny. We must be related or something. No one seems to catch my halarious jokes either... mind you most of the time I am talking to a 2 year old and all the other times I am surrounded by americans.... (haha- I can't joke like that- I am one of them now!!!)
Had I been there with you- I promise I would have laughed for you.

I sure hope that you will be able to find a friend through all this.
We keep running into Ryan. Maybe next time you'll be with him so we can say hi. He sure seems proud of you and the effort you are putting into school.

I thought that was funny! Also, I chuckled at your last post when you said "yippeeee." to your first enema. Soo... yeah...... I think I should REALLY go into nursing now! You.. got me excited?

Just kidding. I'm actually going to start taking Human Physiology and Anatomy in December so I can apply to UBC! It's kinda expensive, but it's the fastest way to do it. Also, I was able to add this blog to my Livejournal friends list, so I'll be able to see when you update without having to remember to go here to read!! Wheee! No more missing posts for this girl!
