....so..... how's the weather.....

crazy.

i love crazy summer prairie weather. okay i should insert here that i love it, when i'm not in a tent. you know, you just know, that when its really really hot and stiflingly humid for too long, you know that there's thunder and lightning and rain coming. and possibly hail. and maybe a tornado. well, probably not. but maybe..... and you hope that the rain will take all the humidity out of the air, which it usually does, leaving us with a temperature 10 degrees lower than it was before the storm. well, this latest weather has been pretty nuts. but hasn't it been fun?
like last night we went out for icecream with some friends (and hand-delivered the caption-contest prize as well, i might add) and out of the blue (okay we kinda saw it coming) it started thundering and lightninging and raining. and pouring. all over my maple walnut.
[and i think the sidewalk-chalked hopscotch may have washed away.]
and then today, we were playing frisbee-golf in the park with my family (happy father's day, dad!), and suddenly it started to drizzle and mom yelled out, "it's white over there!" and i looked and there was a wall of pouring rain, headed our way. we dropped our frisbees and madly raced out of the ravine that we were in, which was becoming slippery and muddy, as the water hit us and we made a mad dash to the van, but not before we were pretty wet.
yea, Happyland Park!

on a totally different note: if your ears have not yet had the pleasure, and your soul the blessing, of hearing the newest david crowder album, A Collision or (3+4=7), then here's what you need to do. take your mouse and make your cursor go to that little X at the top right hand side of the screen. and click. and then go find your keys and put on some shoes and go! go outside! go to hull's or blessings or somewhere and listen to it! now! there's no time to lose!
