Day 2

no, i won't post everyday. but i am hoping that everyday won't be like these first 2 days.

incident #3: 9 a.m. i was called to the boy's bathroom to find a camper bleeding from the mouth. hmmm. apparently, he had 2 loose front teeth before he arrived that morning, and after the hockey ball hit him in the mouth, he only had one, very loose tooth. so we got him to bite on some wet gauze for the next while. throughout the whole singing/puppets/bible story time, this poor little guy had wet, pink gauze hanging from his mouth. but he was brave!

incident #4: 2:30 p.m. during an innocent game of soccer, the ball hit a boy in the shin. and he went down holding his leg. "oh crap" i think to myself. i see blood. blood?? i guess on the weekend at the lake he had hurt his leg and it was all bruised up (like a typical little boy) and had a few scrapes too. and the soccer ball nailed him in the bruises and ripped off a scab. hence the blood. ouch.

well, it's been going good otherwise. i promise! it will be more fun once the kids stop hurting themselves. did i mention that there's only 20 kids this week? 4 down, just 16 to go!
